In order to connect to ResNet you will need to obtain an Ethernet patch cable. Ethernet cables are also called Cat 5 cables or straight cables. They will look like a large phone or modem cable. Should your cable mention anything about being a crossover cable it is the wrong type, and will not work. If you do not have an Ethernet patch cable, one may be purchased at the WVU Bookstores. You may purchase them from other retail stores as well, but you may end up paying more or be sold the wrong type of cable without an easy way to return it.
