Windows NT

Although computers running Windows NT Workstation will most likely connect to ResNet, WVU does not guarantee or recommend it, and support may be limited. Microsoft no longer supports this version of Windows, which means that they no longer release patches for security vulnerabilities that may affect it. As a result, a computer running Windows NT Workstation is highly susceptible to hackers, viruses and other malicious software. Please be advised, if the security of a computer running Windows NT Workstation is compromised, it may be disconnected from ResNet until a supported operating system is installed.

WVU recommends Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (SP2) or Windows Vista (Business, Home Premium or Ultimate).
