E-mail Configuration Guide

Outlook Express



Step 1

Select Tools, then Accounts... from the Outlook Express menu bar.

Select theMail tab. Click the Add button, and select "Mail...".

Type your name into the "Display Name" field, and click Next.

Type your e-mail address into the "E-mail Address" field, and click Next.

Select "IMAP" server as the incoming mail server type.

Type mix.wvu.edu into the "Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP, or HTTP) server" field.

Type exsmtp.systems.wvu.edu into the "Outgoing mail (SMTP) server" field.

Click Next.

Step 6

Type your MIX account name into the "Account name" field, and click Next.

Click Finish.

Select the newly created Mail Account, and click Properties.

Select theServers tab. Check the box "My server requires authentication", and click Settings.

Select "Log on using". Type your CentralID account name into the "Account name" field, check the box "Log on using Secure Password Authentication", and then click OK.

Outgoing Mail Server

Step 11

Select theAdvanced tab. Check the boxes "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)" for both incoming and outgoing mail, and then click OK.

You should now be able to send and recieve mail with your e-mail client.
